About tapping

Tapping is a simple somatic practice. By gently tapping on points on the face and body while speaking, you bridge the mind and body to calm the nervous system. Grounded in acupressure, it creates physical space to process wherever stagnation or overstimulation is held.

There are different neural pathways that collaborate with understanding versus action taken for change. The mind can hold the why while the body keeps running the old instruction. This practice works on that gap directly, offering small repeatable signals of safety until the body updates.

It may feel unfamiliar at first. Simply notice what surfaces. The practice works through the body mind connection, rather than through debate.

Speak the words out loud when you can; hearing your voice helps settle your system. If you must be quiet, say them silently and let the tapping carry the work.

These self regulation practices are meant to support and sit alongside your broader personal care. Should deep or persistent challenges surface, consider reaching out for dedicated professional care.

Where to tap

Begin and end at the side of the hand. Move through the numbered points in order, about seven taps on each. Either side of the body works, so choose whichever hand or side feels most natural.
